Perjury

What are the penalties or recourse if a defendant gives falese

information in their answer to complaint and proof of service?

Where do I find law on this? The false information regards

addresses, dates, and representation.

Statements made in court pleadings, motions, etc. are absolutely privileged and do not give the opposing party a cause of action.

If the defendant has committed perjury then he can be prosecuted for it, but you cannot sue him. Further, unless the statements were sworn, they cannot amount to perjury. Even if they were sworn, there are other elements that must be proven in order to make a case for perjury.
