If your ex filed for bankruptcy then it is up to him or his lawyers to let you and the small claims court know. The small claims court will not find out automatically. You can also search the federal courts' PACER system for a recent bankruptcy case under his name in your local federal district.

Please understand, though, that you cannot successfully sue someone for breaking an engagement. And if a court has already approved his request to have you evicted, then this court will have to agree that the eviction was legally proper. Based on what little you have said, I don't see how you can win your case. With more information I might see things differently.

Good luck.
