Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Hello. I purchased a motorcycle about two years ago. I bought two. I financed both of them from Honda. I rode one and my boyfriend the other but both were in my name and I paid the bills. We broke up about a year ago and he sold the one that he had been riding to a friend of his for cash and I am still paying for it. Is there anything I can do? I still owe over $3000.00 on it and I dont even have it. He wont give me any money and I dont know what to do. I barely make it each month and need help. Please if there is anything I can do that wont cost me a fortune I need to know. Thank you for your time.

If it is financed there is a lien and he cannot transfer title without paying off the lien. You are still the legal owner and can seek a writ of possession.
