Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Sold a car but was never paid

I sold a car to an acquaintance, she never paid the amount we verbally agreed upon. She returned the car to me after it was trashed, I can't resell it. Do I have any legal options open to recoupe my losses? Can I force her to pay for disposal of the vehicle?

You can sue, but it will be your word against hers. However, it is worth a shot in small claims.

if your acquaintance breached your sales contract or converted your vehicle, you may very well have a tort or contract cause of action available to you as a remedy. feel free to contact me directly with more facts on your case and i am more than happy to further evaluate your case and help you get justice.
