Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Can I buy a franchise in the US

I would like to purchase a franchise in california. It would involve selling car detailing supplies. What type of visa would I require? If not, could I use my 10 years of experience in managing various detailing companies as an equivilant to a bachelors degree in order to obtain a H1B visa?

Re: Can I buy a franchise in the US

You should consult with an immigration attorney concerning your questions as they require a detailed analysis of your background. What I can tell you, however, is that to open a business in the US, you must come from a treaty country and meet other stringent requirements. In short, not every person is eligible for the treaty/trader visa, and your background, including nationality, etc., must be clearly understood before it makes sense to pursue this type of visa. Also, as to your H-1B question, your experience and education must be evaluated before one can answer your question. You may contact me directly at [email protected] to schedule a consultation to discuss your case in more detail.

L1 or E1 depending on how much you can invest. 10 years experience can be substituted but has to be evluated in a case by case basis. Take a look at your site:www.lawyers.com/amyghosh
