Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

CA Liquor License Eligibility

I don't have any visa in US. However, can I obtain ABC 41 license?

In order to obatin a working visa (possibily E-2 visa), I am considering to purchse an existing restaurant which has ABC 41 license. My agent told me that I need someone who has at least a greencard to apply the license together. Is that true?

You need an attorney at this point, I believe you can get an investor visa on these facts, if you are in Southern California contact my office.

Re: CA Liquor License Eligibility

I don't believe that you need a person with at least a green card because the application for a liquor license can be made in the name of an LLC, for example (see Calif. Bus. & Prof. code section 23953(d)). Anyone, including an alien, can form an LLC in California or in another state.
