i have a boy friend in nigeria, we want to get marriaged, we ta him lked about applying for a k1 visa. but back in june his dad filed papers to bring him here.what we both want to no is how long will it take for his dad to get him here. his dad told him 6 to nine months is this really true?

If he is over 21 years of age and his father is a US citizen, then it is a 9 year wait.
If he's under 21 years of age, then it would be approximately 6-8 months.
