F1 Visa to E

I am a graduate student and I am on

F1 visa now . I was wondering if I

can change it to E Visa with investing

in a business . What are the term

and conditions about the business ?

how much should I invest ? Can I

buy any business or it should be

related to my study major?

Yes, you can. What works and what does not is like the building of a sculpture beginning first with consultation with you as to what you envision and what you are capable of accomplishing. How much is a relative term based on those things. In absolute terms, the investment must be substantial and not marginal. Substantiality relates to the type of investment: a service company requires an investment less than a manufacturing facility. Marginality relates to the business not just supporting you and your family. A business plan is a must for these cases.
