Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Fiancee Visa

I am currently in the process of a divorce, and I am also engaged. My question is can I apply for a visa for my fiance once I get the judgment or do I have to wait until the divorce is final?

Thanks,

Javier

Re: Fiancee Visa

Javier:

Thanks for your posting, but you will have to wait until the divorce is final until you get married again.

Not only is overlapping marriage a crime (bigamy), but it can cause more questions and investigation with a fiancee or spousal visa application than it is worth.

Best of luck, and if you have any other questions, please feel free to email.
