Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

about to marry a US Citizen.
Hi, my question is, what are the chances of adjusting legal status if i go back to mexico, i was married 4 years ago with a citizen but never did any paper work, now i plan to get married again, and i know that the only chance to adjust status is for me to go back to mexico and start the process there, i entered the country illegaly while i was 6 years old, i am now 27, i have no fellonies and graduated from High school in 1996. What are my chances?, i currently live with my girlfiend. And also i would like to know how long a waiver takes to be aproved.
