permanent residence card

can you apply for a green card if you have a criminal record or on probation will it affect your application even if you had a temporary green card through marriage but did not reapply for the permanent card due to domestic violence

Your question raises complex issues and I suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney. Any criminal history can effect your application for residency. Whether or not it will depends on what you were convicted of and when. Also, it is possible to have the conditions on your green card removed in cases of domestic violence, but there are time limits within which to do so.
