Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

Intellectual Property

I bought some CHI Flat Irons from dhgate dot com, assuming they are the real deal. I sold them on eBay and now I received an email from a attorney saying that they are fake irons and I need to pay $xx,xxx in fees and they will go away.

I have no reason to think they are fakes, but if they are, 1. i would feel horrible. 2. Does an email from an attorney constitute anything?

Thank you in advance

Re: Intellectual Property

An email from an attorney constitutes 6.02 x 10^23 useless electrons. Have an attorney write back telling him to go pound sand.

Re: Intellectual Property

I would ignore the e-mail as legally meaningless and likely not to develop into anything further. Real legal threats are put into letters on 100% rag bond paper with engraved letterheads.
