whom can I contact to help me to get a patent?

I have made something and tested it. I do not want anyone in the market to remake this or manufacture this without my permission. Can you help me?

1. You create shop-quality drawings [usually done by a pro] demonstrating your device and its parts and how it differs from similar devices already in the markteplace and perhaps already patented.

2. You contact a patent examiner and have him research the "patentabilty" of your device.

3. If that checks out, you proceed with a patent attorney.
