Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

I want to register a website domain name and since my target market is the students at CSULB (California State University Long Beach) and is basically an online forum, I want to name it www.csulbexchange.com

My company and the website has no affiliation with CSULB - only trying to connect with its students on a business level. Can I have "CSULB" in a DBA name or a website domain name without any problems?

I would think so, but you cannot rely solely on the answers you receive here. You really should have an attorney review your intentions. If you leave yourself open to litigation it is going to cost you a lot more in the long run.
