I have some winnings from an off-shore gambling site (Australia). What is the legality of collecting the money from them.

It is always difficult to litigate overseas companies because of the practical and legal hurdles involved. Secondly, laws against gambling here in most states may affect your ability to sue in domestic courts. Depending on the amount in question, it may or may not be worth the time and effort to pursue the foreign entity that owes you winnings, especially if there is fraud involved.
