Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

30 day notice for landlord

i am moving out on the 13th of October. I gave my 30 day notice to my landlord on the 18th of September. I am in a month to month agreement. Can he charge me for the extra five days because i was late with the notice?

A 30 day notice means a 30 day notice, not a 25 day notice. You are liable for the rent through the 30th day.
