Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My apartment is uninhabitable due to a fire that presumably started behind an electrical panel. I do not have renters insurance. Is the owner responsible for reimbursement of my contents of the apartment and/or providing another place to live?

Have you paid rent during the period of inhabitability? If rent has been collected or if it is the owner's fault, then, yes the owner is responsible for your damages. Contact me direcly.
