Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I had an eviction in california and it's going to be off my credit report in a year. They did file in court 6 years ago but nothing came out of it. It appears that it is still open on the court website. Is there anything thy can do legally to collect the debt or can they extend it in some way?

Judgments can be renewed every ten years forever, but if they have done nothing to try to collect thus far they probably will not do anything in the future. The case is closed once a judgment issues but it still exists.
