Re: harrasing neighbors

I disagree with what I think is Mr. Cohen's response. If you are in a public area, people have a right to stare at you, point their finger in your direction, and take your picture. If it occurs often enough it might cross the line into being a nuisance.

Have you ever asked her why she is doing this? What will make her stop; how it makes you feel.

The landlord has no control over her. She probably has a mental problem. You milght tell the police that you suspect she may have some mental problems and should be examined at a hospital.

While I can see Mr. Shers' point of view, I think Mr. Cohen's approach is correct.

Follow Mr. Cohen's advice!

I doubt telling landlord of this problem is going to produce results.

Re: harrasing neighbors

You could send your neighbor by certified, return receipt mail (keep a copy) a CEASE AND DESIST letter. If that doesn't work, then you could go to small claims court and seek monetary damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy. If you feel that your safety is seriously threatened, you could seek a civil harassment restraining order as well.
