Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Hi,

I recently received unlawful detainer papers, filed an answer with the court, and am now currently waiting to receive a letter from the court re: a court date. My problem is this - My apartment manager took my name off my mailbox and is putting up little notes that say "move out" and "vacant". This has to be illegal. What should I do?

It is illegal, and might be a Federal crime as it is interferring with the mail service. It would also probably violate the state laws on landlord tenant laws. Tell the manager he must stop or you will inform the post office and they will send an inspector to determine whether a fine will be imposed. as
