my land lord is trying to put me out by next week. and I have no where to go. S he want give me my deposit back

Get in touch with a tenants rights group or tenant attorney right away. If you are a tenant, the landlord must go through the court to get you out.

There are several tenants' rights law groups in Oakland. Landlord must first serve you with a notice to quit and she must show "just cause" under Oakland's ordinances, if applicable, that are designed to protect the tenants from eviction for no reason. She can't engage in self-help without going through the legal process. Don't wait to seek help!
