my mom and i have lived together for years she was in an accident and now is in a senior living home my brother is telling me i have two weeks they are selling it how long do i have to find somewhere to move

It all depends under what authority your brother is telling you to leave and is trying to sell the house. Nevertheless, if he has the right to evict you, under the law he would have to give you at least 60 days' notice and, if you don't leave at that time, he would have to file an unlawful detainer lawsuit and obtain a judgment of possession to have the sheriff evict you. (It sounds like the money from the sale of the house might be applied to your mother's assisted living facility charges.)

You might want to contact a tenants' lawyer and/or an estate planning lawyer IMMEDIATELY to determine your rights to continue living in the house.
