what can I do about an owner of a house that I rent a room in who doesn't use the money that myself and other tenants pay for rent and utilities to pay the mortgage or utilities and now everything is getting shit off 1 by 1 and the house is in foreclosure? is there any way to recover that money?

You are getting the benefit of the bargain of the contract to rent, ignoring the utilities for now, so you still owe the full rent to the landlord. You do have to work something out so that he does not run off with your security deposit

However, you are entitled to have utilities provided. You can argue that there has been a constructive eviction so that you can move out without giving thirty days notice.
