Sewage backup in my appartment

is there any way for me to recompensate myself monetarily for the distress caused by my apartment bathroom flooding with raw sewage? This has happened 4 times now, each time material sat stagnant for over 12 hours, the walls and lino were never replaced, I became very ill the last time and I have had to vacate my apartment each time.
