Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I was given a ten day notice to quit but no matter how much I search I can't find a 10-day notice. I'm on subsidized housing in a project-based voucher under Section 8. From what I saw I have to get a minimum of 60 days notice. Is there such thing attending or just to quit? What laws do I use to show that that is illegal? I'm in the state of California.

There is no law that provides for a 10-day notice, though you might want to look at your lease to see if there is anything in there that relates to a contractual 10 day notice period. Also, California has a state-wide just cause eviction law. So unless the eviction is for good cause, it doesn't matter whether the notice says 3 or 10 or 60 days, it's not legal.
