Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Internet Defamation

I have a client who is being slandered on a website. Evidently, he was upset at my client's advertising and retaliated by posting a website that slanders my clients company, name as well as lists all their email addresses. Is there something I can do for them? Point them to?

Re: Internet Defamation

there are quite a few legal theories you and/or your client may have available to sue for damages and/or receive injunctive relief in this matter. the two primary ones would be tortious theories of defamation (libel) and invasion of privacy (false light). if you can email me more specific facts regarding this situation and what defamatory remarks that are being written online, i can further assist you legally and/or offer representation to the injured parties here.
