misconduct of an attorney

our attorney was in trust of a large sum of money, which, he, without permission, invested in startig a personal small business for himself, that money was intended for our monthy mortgage payments, which he didnot make, putting our loan in default,and when asked about our money he has yet to reply, what should we do?

I'm not sure I understand why the attorney has your money in trust. If you cannot resolve the issue with the attorney, you might have to ask the State Bar to intervene. The attorney appears to be self-dealing with your money, and is not acting as a proper fiduciary.
