Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

I need to revoke a power of attorney signed and notarized september 2010.

When I sign and notarize a revocation of power of attorney, does the document must have the instrument number from the county clerk?

I don't even know if the power of attorney was ever recorded with the county clerk.

A revocation revokes a power of attorney. Generally they are not recorded. Provide a copy to everyone that received a POA.
