Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

attorney fibs while and mental incapable

1988, I was injured on my job. I hired an attorney who insisted that I take $5,000 on my second visit to see him, my first visit approx. 1 year after I hired him he told me to go home because blacks get nothing when they go before the judge, I did not know that I did not go befor the judge. In the secon visit he suggested he ask for $5000. because he thought maybe I could get it, since I was considered 100% disable by both and all doctors and I would be lucky to ge that. In 5 minutes of conversation by him and the insurace company I had $5,000, no medical and no rehab, whci I did not know I could get. I found out 1 1/2 month ago that at the time the attorney was found to be a sustance abuser and mentally incapable of handling my case or any other case. Is there anything was a cleints can make him do to be held responisble for not foing his job.

Re: attorney fibs while and mental incapable

Everything depends on your injury, proof of your injury, and documentation that your attorney was not capable to handle your case. If you fax me at 714 363 0229, documentation to support your contention, I will tell you if you have a case.
