Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

My tax attorney advised that certain proceeds from settlement were not taxable. As a result, I did not do anything to save tax. Now IRS claimed it was taxable. Do I have a case for legal malpractice?

If you have a case, it would be for accountant malpractice, not legal malpractice (which is malpractice by an attorney).

You should consult with an attorney who practices in the area of professional negligence.
