Re: Marrige Liscence

Marrying a foreign national will, among other things, royally foul up your security clearance if you have one or you ever hope to get one. You will have to spend big bux on immigration lawyers to get her into the US. And she will dump you like a cold potato as soon as she gets in. Did you know many foreign women go to school for how to marry an American and how to dump him afterward? So why not do yourself a huge favor and don't do it?

Re: Marrige Liscence

1. The military will honor a legitimate marriage licence.

2. However, you will not be able to bring her into the U.S. without getting the appropriate Visa. There is no guarantee that she can get a Visa. Should you get married, and she not be able to get a Visa, you are stuck. Mr. Stone is referring to ICE concerns about sham marriages, and people using military marriages as a route into the U.S.

3. When you are married to a foreign national, there may be problems with getting a security clearance. It is a potential disqualifying factor if you have a foreign spouse.

4. There are some significant practical difficulties here.
