Got into an auto accident and the injury claim exceeds the policy limits. I have een asked to sign a declaration admitting the accident was my fault and asking about alternate insurance policies. Should this be signed?

You should never admit fault without consulting with an experienced personal injury attorney.

You should disclose other insurance if you don't have any other policy but no need to admit fault. If you have other coverage then report the accident to the insurance company and follow your attorney's advice.

I would not sign the document you have described. I would not admit fault uinless you are getting a full release of all claims. It is common for attorney's representing plaintiff's to send out a letter to defendant's asking whether they have any assets or other insurance that could provide compensation for the losses.
