drunk driver hit my daughter with no insurance

A drunk driver hit my newly licensed 17 yr old daughter while she was driving my truck,but she didnt have insurance, Am I still covered or do I not having insurance on her cancel out the coverage or what. He was arrested at the scene, it was his fault. Is my insurance still going to cover the damage to my vehicle.

The problem here will be whether or not your daughter was a named driver on your policy. Normally, relatives of driving age who live with you must be included on your policy, or they won't be covered.

If your own insurance declines coverage, you'll need to go after the defendant, and you'll need an attorney for that. Normally, that would be a problem, because attorneys won't usually take cases from uninsured people. However, there is an exception when the defendant was DUI.
