Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

emotional stress,psychological damage

can my mom sue a car dealership for emotional stress and psychological damage that they caused her over a car she purchased there, not to mention money she spent on repairs, my mom got a lemom law attorrney and the attorney was able to obtain an out of court settlement, but can she sue for what i previously mentioned through a different attorney that specializes under a different type of laws other than lemon laws?

Most likely your Mom's settlement precluded any further claims on the matter, but if you are not sure you should have an attorney review the settlement.

I agree with Mr. Becker. Even if your mother can still sue, she may not be able to recover for emotional distress. Most lemon-law cases involve claims for breach of contract and breach of warranty. Emotional distress damages are not available in such claims.
