Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I was involved in a hit and run car accident. My car was parked -- i was not inside. I'm suing for property damages and filing fees. I'm trying to increase my award and because it was a hit and run and was thinking perhaps i can go for punitive damages.

Any recommendation on punitive damages or any other damages or any other way to increase my awarded amount?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

The judicial function of punitive damages are to serve a range, not a particular point. You have no personal injury or death. You can ask for it but good luck getting it from a jury or judge.

I'm assuming that the hit and run driver was found. The punitive damage will be criminal justice, if any. Get your car fixed and move on.
