Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Pain and suffering

I was involved in an auto accident where I was the sole person in my car. Another vehicle vered into my lane causing me to to steer into a center divider which inturn I struck a tree totaling my car and causing me injury. There was no contact damage from the other vehicle and it did not stop. There are no witnesses but police did come to the scene and a report was taken listin me at fault. I have full coverage insurance and the insurance company has paid for my car and are agreeing to pay for my medical under the medical clause. Am I intitled to pain and suffering under the personal injury clause since it's only my insurance company that is involed?
