Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

personal injury at a nail salon

my mother got her feet done (i believe a pedicare) at a nail salon. they scrubbed ger feet to hard and cut some skin around the toes area. my mother was unable to walk, her feet were very red and there were quite a few cuts around her feet. we have pictures of what happened. now is this something that we can take to small claims without a lawyer? or is it best to have a lawyer?

As long as there is no permanent residual injury you can take it to small claims court.
