Right to Privacy
Do we have any recourse with the school, for broadcasting my minor child's name on public radio? The radio announcer is a member of the High School faculty. He announced that my son would no longer be on the team because of diciplinary problems off campus. My son was "interrogated" by several staff members, denied the accusations, but was kicked off the team, forbidden to play any sport for 12 months, or take the school's "pee in a cup" program for 9 weeks and could play another sport after that. I am most concerned about his right to privacy regarding his name being mentioned on the radio.

He doesnt really have a right not to be mentioned on the radio, provided whatever was said was not defamatory.
