Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Signature required by insurance company after judgment is given

My son was the victim in a car accident. The defendent's insurance company sent us more paperwork to sign AFTER a judgement was made to pay my son. Can the insurance company force us to sign the Parent-Guardian Release and Indemnity Agreement AFTER the judgment has been made a week earlier?

Re: Signature required by insurance company after judgment is given

I'm not sure what the release says. It seems to me that a judgment is a judgment, and the insurance company is bound by it. No further action -- short of collecting on it -- should be required. Have an attorney review the document and the judgment to make a final determination.
