A tort case...Defamation of Character and breach of contract...California

I need to know the amount of tim that I would have prior to trial to respond to and file a objection to a motion for summary judgement.

Ca. Code of Civil Procedure, excerpted below, gives the time deadlines. In general you have 75 days and the motion must be heard at least 30 days before the trial date. But if you could not find this out just by looking at the code sections, I doubt you will have much luck in successfully defending against the motion. If your case is worth anything, you probably need to speak to an attorney to see at least how you should handle the matter.
