Re: abstract of judgement

Don't know what you are asking. If there is a judgment against you the creditor can record an Abstract of Judgment. It will create a lien in any real property you acquire or own. It will also make the fact of the unpaid judgment public record that will be picked up on a credit search.

Re: abstract of judgement

A judgment creditor can record an abstract of judgment against you despite not having real property. It puts "the world" on notice that there's a judgment against you and conceivably could impair your ability to obtain credit. No doubt, the judgment creditor will eventually want to take a debtor's examination and discover all of your assets, your place of employment, the location of your bank accounts, etc. It might be wise to discuss resolving the issue with the judgment creditor's attorney, or have an attorney negotiate on your behalf.
