Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Hello, I need advice please!. My Mom hasn\'t been able to pay her home taxes for about four years. She just got a letter from the Bank stating that she needs to submit proof of full tax payment to them within 15 days of the letter. The problem is ,she doesn\'t have the money to pay for it right now. What can we do?. What can we do?. She doesn\'t want to loose her house?. Is a loan modification a good idea?. Please, please advice me!. I want to help my Mom with this. What can I do?. Thanks

Unfortunately, property taxes have to be paid or the homeowner can lose the house. A loan modification is to renegotiate the terms of the mortgage payments with the bank if she falls behind on her mortgage and cannot make payments on it as agreed. It has nothing to do with delinquent taxes.
