Breaking a Joint Lease on a home.

My roomate is crazy and i want out!

Will breaking the lease ruin my credit? Can i go to Jail?

Breaking the lease is a civil matter. The affect on your credit will depend to some extent on how the landlord responds. You would be responsible for the payment of the lease amount unless someone takes over the lease.
