Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

business address

i want to register a business online, but need a physical address (they won't take my po box) My friend doesn't want to let me use his address (where my tools are stored) because of ''some kind of liability''

what liability would he have if I just listed his address as my business address?

Re: business address

Going to have to agree with co-counsel here. What is the reason you do not want to use your own address?

There are many issues that can arise for your friend, including possible lawsuits for liability based on damages you may cause. Of course, the friend would show that it was your business and demand indemnification from you, but there is the potential that the friend could be dragged through a lawsuit merely because of an address.

Why not just use your OWN address?

Now, take the reason, and assume that is what your friend is thinking too.
