Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Hello I co-signed for an auto loan for my ex girlfriend, She is not making the payments on time and my credit score has dropped over 100 points already. She will not get insurance on the car and the bank keeps bugging me. What are my alternatives for getting the car back or out of my name? She is not cooperative at all and refuses to give the car up

I don't know if a co-signer is entitled to repossess; probably not. It would require a security interest in the vehicle. I'm afraid you recourse is limited to a lawsuit to recover the vehicle and/or for money damages.
