Landlord is sueing me for withholding Rent

I have been renting this house since July,2006,there major problems he has verbally agreed to fix and none of them are done.for one i dont have a bathroom sink and have'nt in about a year now and that is not even close to all of the problems

There limitations to the tenants right to withhold rent. File an answer to the unlawful detainer complaint and raise habitability as an affirmative defense. Then prepare a list of all of the problems. Take pictures of the lack of a bathroom sink etc to take to court.

Also contact the local code enforcement department and request an inspection of the house. A report from code enforcement that there are code violations will help you in court.
