Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I am currently paying my remainder of pet deposit combined with my rent. I just have $150 due and I just wasn't able to pay it December 3. But I did pay the rent. I let the Landlord know that i wasn't able to but that i would pay it no later then the month of December was over. She said no and that if I don't pay it by December 10 she will give me a 3 day notice?

I don't think you can be evicted for late payment of a pet deposit. Unlawful detainer actions in California are based on nonpayment of rent, or a failure to comply with a lease agreement. At best, it seems that your landlord would have a small claims action against you for failing to pay the deposit.
