Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
I am selling a hotel for a family TIC in California, and the managing partner has asked me to pay a finders fee outside of escrow and he does not have a real estate license. Is this legal ?

It could, theoretically be legal in some particular circumstances, but not very likely. It certainly raises numerous red flags.
