Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

How far should I have to trim my back yard bushes to comply with city ordinances...I have received a 14 day notice from the city of Westminster California...I also have a beautiful evergreen bush in my front yard that I was told I have to trim...Both areas bushes are over 30 years old and beautiful

The city ordinances might (or might not) give you the info you need. If not, there is probably a phone number on your notice that you can call for more information. I've found that most city governments are actually pretty helpful in pointing you in the right direction.

Here is a link to the city ordinances for the street forestry policy, which I suspect may apply to your front yard bushes, especially if they abut a public sidewalk or road. I'm not sure what the deal is with your back yard. http://qcode.us/codes/westminster/
