Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

A Bakersfield, CA officer pulled me over on the freeway and cited me for exceeding length of 65' on White Lane and Wibble Rd. He noted my length at 68'. I had come about one mile from a FedEx distribution center and returned to the freeway on a three lane avenue that had no signs regarding truck length or route. The officer acknowledge a lack of signs, but gave me a blurry b&w CalTrans route map for Bakersfield for future reference, then cited me for a infraction, a $188- fine. He said this violation would not put any points on my otherwise spotless CA MVR. Since the fine is less than attorney's fees to represent me, I figure on just paying the fine. But officer's judgment about the law are not always correct. What will be the MVR result here if I just pay the fine?
